Fierst Distributing Company is a wholesale distributor of floor covering products headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. We were founded in 1949, and today we sell ceramic tile, hardwood flooring, carpet, commercial luxury vinyl tile and installation supplies to retailers and contractors in western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and parts of eastern Ohio, western New York and eastern Maryland.

We are the largest floor-covering distributor in our primary trading area--western Pennsylvania--and our product offerings include some of the industry’s best-known brands.

There are a number of recognized criteria for determining the greenness of products. Fierst Distributing Company has built our business by distributing products from domestic manufacturers who responsibly manage their companies. For example, we believe that responsibly harvested ash lumber milled and finished with a no VOC coating in a plant within 500 miles of Pittsburgh has a lower impact on the environment than products shipped half way around the world.
