Please understand, however, that we receive thousands of business plans each year and regret that we are not able to respond to every inquiry or business plan submitted to us for consideration. We strive to have our decision-making process be as rapid as possible, given that we are highly sought after by entrepreneurs and prospective portfolio companies. First, a lead partner is assigned to each prospective company who consults with other team members and technical advisors, as appropriate, to evaluate the opportunity. Once we have made a decision to pursue an opportunity, our review and due diligence process takes between one and three months and generally consists of the following: 1. First an assessment is made whether the opportunity falls in an area of current investment interest. 2. If the opportunity passes the first screen, one or more partners will meet with you in person to further assess our level of interest. 3. Next, we perform technical, intellectual property and other due diligence. This typically includes in-depth analysis of your company and industry as well as reference checks on the management team. 4. Assuming the results of the first steps are positive, your management team is invited to present to our partnership, and a decision is made shortly thereafter. Whatever the outcome of our review, our commitment is to complete this process as efficiently as possible.
