School-Based Programs Growth Works, in cooperation with local school systems seeks to improve academic success through providing on site support services that target at-risk students. Programs are developed to meet the unique needs of individual communities and grade levels. Intervention options may include conflict resolution and anger management sessions, in-school suspension rooms, substance abuse education and violence prevention programs as well as social work services.
Residential Treatment-WCARE/I and Vassar House Programs WCARE/I is a residential chemical dependency treatment program for adolescent males operated by Wolverine Human Services and Growth Works’ ARTx program. WCARE/I serves young men that are sent by Wayne County’s juvenile justice system and various State of Michigan Substance Abuse Coordinating Agencies, including SEMCA and the City of Detroit Substance Abuse Department.
