John T. Royall is President and Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Publishing Company. John has extensive experience in business-to-business media and events including 25 years in business publishing. A graduate of the University of Texas, and with graduate work at George Washington University and the University of Munich, he has held executive positions at Reed Elsevier before joining Gulf as President and CEO in 2009.

Gulf Publishing Company was founded in 1916 by Ray L. Dudley. He was a man with a vision who insisted on producing the highest quality technical editorial in all of his publications. To achieve this goal he reached into the industry itself. Today, more than half of Gulf Publishing Company's editorial staff have engineering degrees. The others are thoroughly trained and experienced business journalists and editors.

Peter Smith is an independent consultant with over 30 years of experience in the onshore and offshore sectors of the oil and gas industry. He has worked on design, construction and commissioning phases on refineries, offshore platforms, pipelines and FPSO projects in Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Having worked for both major operating companies and international EPC contractors on projects that were designed using manually produced drawings, he has witnessed the evolving CAD era and appreciates the advances and advantages of this new technology.
