Helping Hands Health Education is a non-profit organization registered under 501(c)(3) status in 1992, with the main objective of bringing low cost quality medical relief services to people in rural villages of Nepal through the help of Western medical and non-medical volunteers. It provides volunteering opportunities for medical professionals, medical students and non medical volunteers to serve in Nepal. Initially, the organization began providing medical services to the rural and poor people of Nepal. With time, it has expanded its services to education sector and thus welcomes non-medical volunteers to teach at the village school. Along with two permanent clinics in Kathmandu ? the capital city of Nepal, Helping Hands boasts of yet another permanent clinic in the village of Khandbari, a village in Eastern Nepal.
