After the devastation of Hurricane Hugo in 1989, Hood Construction was proud to be a part of the community that banded together to rebuild South Carolina. This solemn opportunity allowed us to establish numerous business relationships throughout the state – relationships built on trust and commitment, further defining our dedication to fairness and responsibility to our community. As the company began to grow, our reputation of integrity drew some of the strongest professional talents and partnerships to our firm, while we continued to expand our mindset of Value-Based Services .

Hood Construction was especially proud to walk in honor of the wife of a valued team member, Annie Viles, who received a heart transplant earlier this year. Annie’s husband, Jerry, is a superintendent at Hood with over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry. The opportunity to help raise money to take a stand against the #1 killer of Americans, while also honoring a dear friend of Hood Construction, was a rewarding experience for the entire Hood Team.

Our firm has produced numerous industrial buildings – from distribution warehouses, to light manufacturing – for product lines such as pharmaceutical, electrical/mechanical, steel production & fabrication, grocery, pet and other commercial or consumer-related arenas – all with strict control guidelines and customized operations. The project samples displayed show ground-up production, as well as facility additions and structure/site modifications. Most industrial projects come with highly sensitive deadlines, and the need for strong budget control.
