Kalamazoo Paper Chemicals was founded in 1962 by Harry B. Parker, a former professor of Pulp Paper Engineering at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. In the beginning, the company operated as a manufacturers representative group but has since grown into distribution, import / export, and limited manufacturing.A primary principle of the company is to offer our customers a very high level of technical expertise in problem solving and process optimization for their operations. We believe that it is essential that we maintain a high level of understanding of our customer’s processes and therefore many of the problems which they encounter.Located in our own buildings in Richland, Michigan, just outside of Kalamazoo, we now represent many major suppliers to industries around the world. These companies include Emsland Starch GmbH of Germany, Wilkinson Kaolin Corp., Huygen Instruments, Cargill Inc., IGT Reprotest and many others. Product lines include a variety of Potato Starches and Derivatives, Coating Chemicals and Additives, Titanium DiOxide, Kaolin Clay, Pulp and Paper Quality and Testing Instrumentation.
