Robert D. Aronson practices principally in the area of employment-based immigration, and focuses to a large extent on immigration matters for International Physicians, biomedical researchers, and healthcare workers. He has achieved national prominence as a leading authority on immigration law pertaining to foreign physicians, as substantiated by his numerous (over 60) articles on the subject, his presentations at conferences of the legal and medical professions, and various recognitions accorded to him by various professional bodies. He is a recurrent contributor to publications of the American Medical Association and was previously appointed as the immigration consultant to the Congressionally created advisory body to the Secretary of Health and Human Services on healthcare policy. He holds various leadership positions in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). He is an Adjunct Professor of International Management at the University of St. Thomas and was a Fellow of the Walter Mondale Forum for Emerging Leaders and the Harry Kaye Institute. He is also a Vice Chair of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS). Mr. Aronson is a graduate Cum Laude of the Indiana University School of Law and was a Fulbright Fellow at the law schools of Harvard University and Moscow State University.Jerome B. Ingber (retired), the founder of the firm, retired as of July 2005. Mr. Ingber is an Adjunct Professor at William Mitchell College of Law (since 1980) and has been a guest lecturer at the University of Minnesota Law School. He is frequently called on to present immigration programs locally and nationally.Dinesh Shenoy is an associate attorney with Ingber & Aronson PA in Minneapolis, practicing exclusively in the field of immigration law with an emphasis on employment-based cases, family-based cases and advising criminal defense counsel on the immigration consequences of crimes. He has published articles for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) on the “concurrent filing rule”, H-1B extensions of status under the American Competitiveness in the 21st Century Act (“AC21”), and H-1Bs for Business Professionals. In 2003 he won the AILA Mentor Award for “Outstanding Efforts and Excellent Counsel to Immigration Attorneys By Providing Mentoring Assistance.” He has spoken on employment-based immigration at the AILA Annual Conferences in 2003 and 2004, and spoke about the “Child Status Protection Act” on a nationwide teleconference shortly after the CSPA was enacted, as well as numerous presentations to general audiences in Minnesota. He currently serves on AILA’s 2004-05 Liaison Committee to the Nebraska Service Center of the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
