Welcome to Country Inns Along the Trail. More than thirty years ago, we pioneered the concept of self-guided vacations in Vermont. From that single, simple offering a trip starting "every odd-numbered Saturday" to hike between seven inns along 60 miles of Vermont's "Footpath in the Wilderness," the famous Long Trail Vermont inn-to-inn vacationing has come into its own. We now offer a variety of customized individual, family, and group vacations, both self-guided and guided: hiking, bicycling, mountain biking, walking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and just plain old vacationing, all the while enjoying the finest of Vermont's country inns. An expansion of our program is underway this year, and we are excited to offer new itineraries and adventures to the inn-to-inn traveler. Come join us on the trails, where Nature is close at hand. Relish days spent on Green Mountain trails or Champlain Valley backroads, and then turn off the trail and enjoy your evenings dining and relaxing in Vermont's finest inns. The unique country inns we visit provide delightful resting places to refresh body and soul. We have carefully chosen our select inns for their friendly hospitality and personal service.
