Bill comes to IMMI from his role as the President & CEO of KMR North America, an operating unit of the KMR Group and WPP’s Kantar Group. KMR North America’s business practice includes KMR Software, MARs, MARs Medical, IntelliQuest, Mediafax and advisor to companies where WPP has strategic media measurement investments, including IMMI. Bill’s business career includes chief executive positions with several research companies including Mediafax, Incorporated, the Puerto Rico based TV Audience measurement Company Bill McKenna founded in 1988 and sold to WPP in 2001. Mediafax continues to flourish today as the leading research business operation in the Caribbean Region. Bill is an inventor and entrepreneur with several US Patents and the creator/initial developer of Arbitron’s 1980’s ScanAmerica single-source peoplemeter service. Bill is also a retired US Navy Reserve Captain, veteran and experienced naval aviator. He holds an MBA in Marketing from Northwestern University. As the first rock critic for the Washington Post, Tom spent 15 years as a journalist before turning his attention to creating and launching technology start-ups. Over the last two decades, he has focused on creating companies that strive to create new business opportunities in their respective markets. In 1986, Tom took public AXLON, a high-tech toy company. Tom then founded Isix, another technology-driven entertainment company that was acquired by Hasbro. In addition, Tom cofounded Digital Pictures, the first company to create full-motion video games, and Garageband, one of the first online digital record labels. He coauthored a number of technology patents while at both companies. Tom attended the NYU School of Film & Television, and graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Georgetown University.
