Koren, is an engineer who served as an officer in the United States Army Corps of Engineers. He was the Chief Building Inspector and Deputy Director of Inspections and Permits in Baltimore County. He is the recipient of the Developer of the Year and the Life Time Achievement Awards, both presented by the Land Development Council of the Home Builders Association of Maryland.
