Raystown Lake, known as Pennsylvania's "Crown Jewel" is 28 miles long with over 8300 acres of water and 118 miles of shoreline.In 1974 The Army Corp of Engineers began The Raystown Lake Project as flood control for the Susquehanna Valley. The dam is 225 feet high and over 1700 feet long. It is located 21 miles north as the crow flies from Lake Raystown Resort & Lodge. The result is Pennsylvania's largest lake, the largest man made lake East of the Mississippi, and best place to enjoy fishing, boating, water sports and everything mother nature has to offer.Since in 1984, Lake Raystown Resort & Lodge, a family owned and operated resort, strives to continue to provide Affordable Family Vacations on our 400 acres of Fun in the Sun!
