For more than 75 years we’ve successfully provided steam, electrical power, compressed air, vacuum, hot-soft water and chilled water to our members. Our primary focus has been to maintain and service the equipment necessary to provide reliable, low-cost utility services to our member institutions.
The Medical Center Company (MCCo) is dedicated to providing reliable, low-cost energy to the key institutions within University Circle. MCCo was formed in 1932 as a not-for-profit corporation in an effort to consolidate and conserve energy distribution within the non-profit corporations of University Circle.
Todd has managed environmental compliance for the Medical Center Company for the past seven years and has fifteen years experience in the energy industry. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio and holds a B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering from The Ohio State University. Todd previously worked for American Municipal Power, assisting municipal member communities with environmental compliance. He is a member of the Northern Ohio Chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association and the Greater Cleveland Safety Council.
MCCoâ??s district energy system allows for a unique, customized program for energy management. Currently, we are coordinating with facility operators and sustainability staff to better understand organizational energy reduction goals and targets as well as initial project ideas for reducing energy consumption. Professional recommendations for energy saving projects presented by the energy audit project will help inform member institutionsâ?? Energy Management Implementation Plans and assist MCCo in creating a customized demand-side program approach for each customer. In addition, MCCo is upgrading our metering and billing system to promote efficiency in our tracking and billing practices while providing a higher standard of customer service in energy use tracking and monitoring for facility operators.
