Goal 1 To provide students with the knowledge they need for employment in recreation and leisure services 1a) Achieve employment in a recreation or leisure services setting. 1b) Demonstrate a broad knowledge of recreation theory and practice. 1c) Demonstrate an understanding of safety procedures and liability issues in recreation settings 1d) Demonstrate an ability to develop program plans and recreation activity plans Goal 2.

Goal 1 To provide students with the skills they need for employment in a perioperative setting as a surgical technician 1a) Students will demonstrate broad knowledge of integration of theory and practice regarding surgical procedures. Goal 2 To provide students with the skills necessary to interact effectively with members of the surgical team in the perioperative setting 2a) Students will demonstrate interpersonal communication skills within the clinical setting. 2b) Students will complete the MVCC Diversity and Global View Graduation Requirements.

Goal 1 To provide students with a core foundation of knowledge of the liberal arts Goal 2 To provide students with core concepts in multicultural education Goal 3 To provide students with core concepts in special education.

Goal 1 To prepare the student to communicate effectively with others in a healthcare setting 1a) Students will communicate appropriately with instructors, peers, staff, and clients. 1b) Students will communicate appropriately with health care delivery team at related agency. 1c) Students will demonstrate acceptance of the rights and dignity within the context of the consumers cultural heritage.
