Description
I started working with Dr. Nurani in 2000. Since that time, I have derived much joy and satisfaction from caring for our very special patients and developing long lasting relationships. I graduated from Lanier Technical College as a Registered Dental Hygienist. I am known for my gentle touch and ability to put patients at ease.I love dentistry and have been in the dental field for over 20 years. In my spare time, I enjoy country music, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Your comfort is our primary goal. We do simple extractions as well as surgical extractions of badly decayed teeth or impacted wisdom teeth. Most people have their wisdom teeth removed in their late teens. Dr. Nurani has many years of experience in the removal of wisdom teeth. We offer sedation dentistry which allows our patients to rest comfortably during their procedure.
White Fillings (Composite Fillings) Cavities are the result of tooth decay caused by foods containing carbohydrates (sugars and starches) such as breads, cereals, milk, soda, fruits, cakes, or candy which are left on the teeth. Bacteria that live in the mouth break down the food into acids. The bacteria, acid, food debris, and saliva combine to form plaque which sticks to the teeth. The plaque breakdown the enamel surface of the teeth, creating holes in the teeth called cavities, or caries. Many people think cavities only affect children, but changes that occur with aging make cavities an adult problem too. Gingivitis or gum disease exposes the roots of teeth to plaque making them vulnerable to developing cavities. Old filling can weaken over time and can fracture, allowing bacteria to accumulate causing tooth decay. For over 150 years, cavities were filled with a mixture of metals, including silver and mercury. It was perfectly normal to see dark grey areas in someone's mouth when they laughed. Today, you can get your cavities, as well as any other smaller hollow areas in your teeth, filled with composite fillings.
I am honored to be part of this incredible team of professionals. With over 30 years of experience, dentistry is truly my passion. I believe in developing long lasting relationships with my team and our patients. It is my goal to exceed our patient's expectations of quality and service. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, especially my four grandchildren.
