Our Story NetworkStreaming, now Bomgar Corporation, was founded in 2003 by Joel Bomgar while he was working as a network engineer at a local IT consulting company. Bomgar had years of experience and numerous technical certifications, including MCSE, CNE, ASE, CCNA, Net+, A+ and others. Before founding the company, Bomgar was wasting hours a day traveling to and from customers' sites for in-person support calls. For many complex issues, phone support was not an option. Bomgar could not find a remote control solution on the market that was cost-effective and had all the features he needed, so he decided to work towards his own custom remote support solution. After completion of development, he was able to offer more effective support, bill more time and respond more quickly to customer issues. Finding his own productivity improve, Bomgar put the solution on the market to see if other support professionals had the same needs for an effective remote support solution. Bomgar technology was the result. Our remote support solutions enable clients to gain control of remote computers anywhere in the world in about ten seconds to offer IT support.Based in Ridgeland, Mississippi, Bomgar has grown steadily since its 2003 beginning, securing nearly 2,000 customers in all 50 states and over 30 countries, in addition to resellers in Canada, South Africa, the U.K. and the U.S.A. Clients include IT systems integrators, ISPs, colleges & universities, legal & accounting firms, insurance & financial institutions, and software vendors.
