Nita Williams has been a Member of The Greens Country Club since 1990. In those seventeen years, she has contributed her time and energy to several golf and social events here at The Greens. Nita considers The Greens her home away from home. When Nita first came to The Greens, she considered herself a part-time golfer. After a career as an office manager for a law firm and as a clothing boutique owner, Nita started devoting more time to her golf game. Now an avid golfer, Nita is also a District Manager for Arbonne and serves on the banquet and research committee for the Women’s Oklahoma Golf Hall of Fame. Nita has been a member of the Women’s Golf Association since 1998. She served as President in 2005 as well as Vice President, Social Chairman and Sports Chairman in years past. She has also served on several committees at The Greens including social, house and grounds, membership, welcome, conduct, golf and she served on the Board of Governors for six years. Her favorite social events include the Member Holiday Party and volunteering for The Greens Fourth of July Parade. In 2005, Nita developed the Ladies Fall Fling Member/Guest Tournament. This year Nita will be serving as Chairman of the Highland Fling Tournament along with her Co-Chairman Pam Clark which takes place on October 1-2. Representing The Greens, Nita has traveled to play in the Austin Ladies Pro-Am tournament two times, but her favorite trip includes traveling to Palm Springs with other Members of The Greens to play golf and vacation. In her spare time, Nita enjoys reading, playing bridge and visiting the casino. As a native Oklahoman, Nita was born and raised in Oklahoma City and is proud to be an Okie and proud to be a Member of The Greens. We are honored to highlight Nita Williams as the 2007 September Member Spotlight and would like to say thank you for her countless contributions and devotion to our club.
