In all likelihood - yes! There are only a few major manufacturers of security parts that change their designs about every 5-7 years or so. Certain companies buy enough products for them to have their panels customized. Sometimes they ask the manufacturer to make the CPU circuit board “proprietary” so no one else can use it, however, the other components in the system are standard parts so NOTIS can change the CPU and/or keypad(s) to upgrade the system for a small investment. There are a few exceptions, but we can tell you over the phone what to expect.

Every security company will tell you they use the best components, but reliability of the equipment doesn’t vary much among the biggest manufacturers and has much less to do with quality than with the installer in your home. A skilled installer makes an alarm system great, while a poor installer can make a great alarm system inferior . Every manufacturer of the products in your home provides the installer many different options and settings. A skilled and conscientious technician must consider many factors and products in an alarm installation and explain the methods used to the alarm owner.
