The Alan Wong brand is built around a strong foundation that has been established by Chef Alan Wong and his dedication towards his staff, farmers, community and his endless perfection to his craft. Our brand strategy was built around the tag line "Taste Hawaii." When experiencing the Alan Wong brand, our goal is to have people see, taste, smell and feel Hawaii. The success and growth of the brand was also due to establishing relationships that will compliment and enhance the Alan Wong brand experience. Ultimately, we stayed out of the kitchen and let the chef do what he does best. "Inspire guest through his culinary excellence." Logo definition: The original logo was designed by Dan Nakasone. It is based off of the Sugar loaf Pineapple, a reflection of the plantation town of Chef Wong, Wahiawa. The Sugar loaf pineapple was a rare-rouge pineapple that was often sought after by the field workers for it's extra sweet taste and texture. Logo symbolism: The crown represents the sun which produces endless light and energy for our creative inspiration. The body is the land The base of the logo/pineapple is the keiki and represents Ohana/family. The wave pattern below represents the surrounding ocean.
