Job Description: As a Senior Mechanic you will be expected to perform maintenance and repairs of equipment in a safe and professional manner. Responsibilities will include the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel, and gas systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools including service documentation. Occasional on-site repairs and troubleshooting will be a routine part of this position. In addition, you will ensure that equipment and vehicles operate effectively, efficiently and safely. Job Requirements: To be qualified, all applicants must have 1-2 years of experience with repairing and maintaining vehicles and equipment. Graduation from a related Trade School is a definite plus. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of construction equipment, a thorough understanding of schematics and diagrams, own the tools applicable to the position, and exhibit teamwork, verbal, and written skills. A keen mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment problems effectively is essential to the success of this position. A high school diploma or equivalent and valid driver ’s license are required. The primary objective of this position is to provide labor assistance to branch personnel, sales staff, and mechanics in order to meet the needs of the customer. The Service Associate must be able to assist customers in "checking-out" equipment and demonstrating its use. In addition, you must be able to drive a delivery truck to pick-up and drop-off equipment at customer sites. Job Requirements: This position requires that you be at least 18 years of age and have a valid Drivers License. All candidates must also possess the ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, the agility to climb over and into heavy equipment and the dexterity to work at heights over 10 feet. A good mechanical mind and intuition with regards to heavy equipment, its operation, and different applications is a plus.
