Description
Indiana plant allows steel smelter to capture and use nearly all of the byproduct gas that would otherwise be flared. -Two separate production facilities provide a 22-mile steam distribution system. -Supplies 25% of steel smelter’s electrical requirements and 85% of its process steam needs. -This Baltimore facility includes a waste-to-energy plant that produces 225,000 pounds of steam per hour.
