Description

The Medical Rehabilitation Division has offices in Lewiston and Brunswick where we provide pain management and rehabilitation services to patients across mid coast, southern, and central Maine. The mission of the division is to provide integrated, rehabilitation services that promote physical, behavioral, and occupational health.

Spectrum Medical Group’s philosophy includes investing in improving healthcare resources by dedicating time and training resources. As a result, select staff from each of our clinical divisions share their expertise to foster learning opportunities and consultative guidance. Our physicians staff dozens of multidisciplinary conferences, working with physicians from diverse disciplines. The expertise of our Anesthesiologists, Pathologists, Radiologists, and Radiation Oncologists is requested for conferences with hospital medical staffs throughout Maine.

As a physician-directed practice, our Board of Directors is comprised of two physicians from each of our specialty areas who provide oversight and guidance to our practice operations and planning. One of these two physicians is elected as the divisional managing director. The managing director represents the division at weekly Executive Committee meetings and presides over regular Division Advisory Committee and Practice Management meetings.

Spectrum radiologists are highly experienced in caring for children and do everything possible to make both the child and the parents feel comfortable throughout any procedure. Using state-of-the-art techniques and equipment, many tests can be performed without the need for sedation. When necessary, sedation is available.

Chronic pain can be a complex medical problem like many others. In some cases there may be no easy answers. Our physicians are available to provide consultative services and assist with ongoing chronic pain management. Due in part to insurance restrictions, we expect that in most cases routine care will be initiated and maintained by your primary care physician.
