Description

Russ Frazier is a technology implementation specialist in automated semiconductor design. He has 14 years of experience in the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and semiconductor fields. During his career, Russ has held technical and marketing positions in the areas of Software Development, Professional Services, Technical Training, Applications Engineering, Sales Support, Technical Marketing, and Design Flow Development. Russ's experience has been focused primarily in physical design, where he has added value to organizations by providing combined expertise in Semiconductor Foundry Processes, Design Flows, Parasitics and Electronic Design Automation. He has also developed front-end design software for use with schematic capture and static timing tools. For a leading design software company, Russ's expertise was applied to the development and strategic distribution of critical product components. His efforts contributed to a seven-fold market share increase for the product, making it the market leader.For a major Silicon Valley design software company, Russ was responsible for the development of critical software components for an acclaimed, pioneering, high performance software design tool. His work helped to spearhead market growth for the tool in important new segments.For the third largest semiconductor company in the world, Russ provided crucial physical verification know-how for a key US Design Center. His support allowed the timely completion of milestones for leading microcontroller units and application specific integrated circuits. He earned a BSEE from San Jose State University in 1992 and an MBA from North Carolina State University in 2005. Russ is a member of the IEEE and serves on the Executive Committee of the Eastern North Carolina section. He is also a member of the Council for Entrepreneurial Development, the San Jose State University Alumni Association and the North Carolina State University Alumni Association. During the early eighties, he served as a noncommissioned officer in the weapons department aboard the nuclear-powered fast attack submarine USS Guardfish (SSN-612).
