Founded in 1978 by Monica Davis, Teleclip, Incorporated is a multi-media news monitoring firm headquartered in Austin, Texas. A number of strategic alliences have enabled Teleclip to provide media monitoring for over 200 markets across the nation and the world. A true pioneer in the industry, Teleclip developed a relationship with the City of Austin almost 30 years ago providing the public with continuing access to news coverage. The Austin History Center currently houses newscasts recorded by Teleclip Incorporated, dating back to April of 1984. This makes Teleclip one of the longest archiving monitors in the United States. In 1981, Teleclip, joined thirteen other North American news monitors as founding members of the International Association Broadcast Monitors (IABM). Now a much larger organization, IABM remains dedicated to fostering the exchange of information among its members, maintaining goodwill with its broadcast partners, and working to safeguard the public’s right to access news information. In 1997, Teleclip again took a leadership role in building News Data Services, Incorporated (NDS), a corporation comprised of independent news monitors that share a common computer database. NDS currently gathers news coverage from more than 200 markets across the U.S., and in several foreign countries. Services include news monitoring of broadcast news, radio news, internet news and social media news monitoring.
