While scouting has changed since the organization was founded in 1912, still, some things remain the same, such as wanting to give back to the community. Last month, the scouts donated $100 to the Community Cupboard, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Girl Scout cookies, an American tradition.

Pat Hill talking to Tina Albillar, a volunteer for Court Appointed Special Advocate. Founded in Colorado Springs in 1989, CASA has served more than 6,000 children in the Pikes Peak Region. CASA volunteers help children who have entered the "system," either through neglect and abuse or abandonment. Albillar, who lives in Woodland Park, is one of several advocates who help children in Teller County.
