Francis Doll Francis Doll, 92, of Henning, MN, formerly of Deer Creek, MN died on Wednesday Sept. 8, 2010 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Monday September 13, 2010 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Henning with Pastor Randy Maland officiating. Music is provided by Diane Gutknecht, organist and Steve Young, vocalist. Honorary Pallbearers are: Tina Juvrud, Sara Schelske, Becky Struck, Beverly Fields, Sara Zuelow, Dawn Klimek, Jenny Davison, Liz Dahl, Jessi Dahl, Jamie Toftum, Janelle Doll, Amanda Fritz, and Amber Porter. Active Pallbearers are: Mark Doll, Todd Doll, Jason Doll, Josh Schelske, Byron Fields, Chad Zuelow, Will Doll, Scott Dahl, and Aaron Porter. Interment is in the Inman Cemetery, Henning. Visitation is from 3:00 until 5:00 PM on Sunday September 12, 2010 at the Belmont Funeral Home in Henning and continues for an hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Online condolences at www.belmontfuneral.com Francis Vernie Doll was born on May 23, 1918 in Dumont, MN the son of Theodore and Christine (Schmitz) Doll. He married Ethel Anderson on July 28, 1941. He served in the US Army from April of 1942 until April of 1945. He landed on Omaha Beach on D-day I. He rode with Gen. Dwight Eisenhower for about a year. Francis was a farmer and a carpenter. He played any musical instrument and loved to interact with everybody. Francis is survived by his children: Pat Schelske, St. Cloud, MN, Jean (Daryl) Fields, New Hope, MN, Linda (Richard) Zuelow, Crystal, MN, Jim Doll, Deer Creek, MN, Jeff (Barb) Doll, Deer Creek, Jill Doll, St. Cloud, Tom (Connie) Doll, Hewitt, MN, and Fran Doll, Alexandria, MN; son-in-law: Ron Kranitz, Minong, WI; 23 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren; 2 brothers and 5 sisters.
