The NeuronFarm ® is led by Dr. Mina Johnson-Glenberg, a cognitive scientist who possesses a unique combination of skills garnered from hands-on teaching and a rigorous research background. She leads a management team with comprehensive technological, operational, and research expertise. Johnson-Glenberg, Ph.D. President/Chief Science Officer Dr. Johnson-Glenberg is a cognitive scientist who is dedicated to the remediation of reading problems. She worked as an educational therapist in Los Angeles, CA for years. In the early 90's, she decided to research learning disabilities, and, more importantly, how such disabilities could be remediated. She entered graduate school and received her Doctorate in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1998. There she worked on one of the first computer-based reading remediation projects, ROSS, which trained phonological awareness and reading strategies to children with dyslexia. Dr. Johnson-Glenberg has extensive experience in implementing and assessing the effects of comprehension training programs and has been published in several leading peer-reviewed journals. (See research for links to publications.) Dr. Johnson-Glenberg is affiliated with Arizona State University's Department of Psychology . Her work has included creating neural networks of reading comprehension processes and researching/assessing working memory and literacy in individuals with fragile X syndrome ( see research ). Her strengths include experimental design, behavioral statistics, artificial intelligence, and applying evidence-based theory to interactive e-learning tools. She has been a Principal Investigator on several Federal and private foundation grants, including the National Institutes of Health (NICHD), US Department of Education (IES), and the FRAXA Foundation . She is on the Board of Directors of Wisconsin Literacy and is a member of the Technology Committee of the Wisconsin State Reading Association. As the President and Chief Science Officer of The NeuronFarm, Dr. Johnson-Glenberg oversees all creative, experimental, and managerial aspects of this rapidly growing company. (top) Ankur Malhotra, Chief Operations Officer Mr. Malhotra has extensive experience working with technology startups in diverse areas of general business management, operations, and human resources. He has been a consultant on business plan and human resource development projects at Alfalight (a high-tech laser diode manufacturing startup) and Supranet Communications (a local Internet Service Provider), and developed business and strategic plans for Mototron (a developer of engine control software for the automotive industry) and eMetagen (a Madison-based biotech startup).
