Description

Bio/Experience Travis Fox is a Survey Project Manager at WPL. He has 18 years of experience in land surveying. Mr. Fox started at WPL in the Survey Division as a Project Surveyor in January, 2005 having completed the requirements for the L.S.I.T. in 2003. He has extensive experience with boundary, construction, topographic and transportation surveys and has gained valuable experience and diverse perspective during his employment with other area firms throughout his professional development. Mr. Fox assists Mr.

Buddy has broad experience relating to various types of land surveying. His supervision of technical and physical activities of the Survey Division has been an integral part of WPL for 50 years. Buddy has helped make WPL efficient, responsive, and competitive. He strengthened his knowledge base by completing courses in Surveying Studies at Old Dominion College, now known as Old Dominion University. For over 20 years, Buddy has coordinated the surveying division with the engineering and landscape architecture divisions of WPL.

Bio/Experience Matt has been at WPL for 7 years. He has experience in Civil Engineering, with knowledge of stormwater management design, environmental planning, utility design, structural engineering, & land surveying. He also has experience supervising and coordinating the preparation of plans in AutoCAD as well as incorporating Civil3D into the design process.

William D. Almond, ASLA, CLARB is a licensed Landscape Architect with 32 years experience on a wide range of residential, commercial, municipal, military and institutional projects. Prior to establishing the landscape architectural division at WPL, Mr. Almond was Senior Associate at the Norfolk based architectural firm of Shriver and Holland Associates for over 21 years. This combined with WPL's extensive practice of landscape architecture has afforded Mr.

WPL's talented design professionals, who focus on the developing innovative and cost effective solutions for clients, utilize a state-of-the-art fully networked computer system. All survey drafting personnel are proficient in AutoCAD with COGO application software. Large scale printing capabilities allow us to generate plats and plans in-house for medium and small projects. Each of our four surveying teams is equipped with Topcon or Nikon total stations with data collectors with English or Metric capability. One of the survey teams is also equipped with Topcon GR-3 Global Positioning System.
