For 64 years, and two generations, the Todd name has been synonymous with integrity, substance and satisfied clients. You know that when you work with Todd Construction, you have our full attention. Todd Construction Grows Todd’s beginnings date back to 1942. Back then, Founder John D. Todd was employed by Young’s Bay Lumber Co. in Astoria, Oregon when he took advantage of a federal program granting funds for a housing project and built his first project. Within a year, Todd incorporated and became Todd Building Company. When the lumber company moved to Roseburg, Todd went along to build a sawmill and 50 homes for lumber company employees. When the housing market slowed, Todd pursued commercial contracts, the first of which was installing Quonset huts at an Army airfield in Klamath Falls.Over the years Todd Building Company grew steadily, becoming one of the largest builders in Oregon, and ranked nationally in the Engineer’s News Record as a “Top 400” contractor for several years. Todd has built some of the oustanding buildings in the state including the Eugene Center for the Performing Arts and OHSU’s Vollum Institute for Bio-Medical Research.
