Also known as ground-source heat pumps, these systems transfer heat from the ground, ground water or surface water and use it to provide home heating. For summer cooling, the process is reversed. If desired, earth-energy systems can be equipped to provide domestic hot water year 'round.

Todd Reed got his start as a staff appraiser in 1998 with a Lee's Summit, Missouri based appraisal firm. He then started his own appraisal company in 2000 and has been self employed since then. He founded Woodworth Reed appraisals and home inspections in 2005. In 2006, home inspections, termite inspections and Radon Gas measurements were introduced to the business. He then moved to Springfield, Mo in 2007 and formed Total Home Analysis.
