Description
Facets of Type: Activities to Develop the Type Preferences by Gary and Margaret Hartzler Curriculum: Complete the self-selection process incorporated in Facets of Type report. Using your-self selection scores write a summary report of your analysis of your ability to use each of the forty facets. Special attention should be paid to those skills that were difficult to understand. Commit to specifically work on developing skills related to two of your non-preferred facets. Chose appropriate activities from those provided in Facets of Type that you will use to work on your type development. Modify the activities to make them more applicable to you, but not to change the focus of the activity. Document those modifications. Perform the activities. Some activities may have to be repeated multiple times until you believe you have increased your abilities. Keep a record/journal of your activities, what the results were, and any affective experiences you had. Pass a test on your knowledge of the forty facets. Demonstrate your ability to apply your understanding of the forty facets. There are two choices.
Gary has forty years experience developing computer systems, managing computer systems development, and being an executive in small businesses. Twenty-eight years of that experience he also provided organizational consultanting and training using type theory.
Since 1996, we have been providing training and consulting services to specific clients, including Type Resources, 16Types.com, and Otto Kroeger and Associates in the United States, the Institute for Type Development in Australia, Iradat in Indonesia, and ProWay in China.
Margaret Hartzler, PhD Two core concepts of Jungian psychological type theory are the psychological functions he described in Psychological Types and the process of differentiating them that has become known as type development. The MBTI Step II was developed to provide respondents with more detail (more differentiation) about their functions and attitudes within the structure of the MBTI. This distance learning program is structured to provide direct Internet communications with the trainer for both the knowledge and the application/experiential components and will offer MBTI Certification Program CEUs. Objectives: Increase participant knowledge of the forty MBTI Step II facets. Increase participant ability to consciously use more of the forty facets. Develop and demonstrate an ability to use the forty Step II facets with your clients, either in one-on-one or group settings.
Margaret Hartzler, PhD and Gary Hartzler, MSA, are on the Breckenridge Institute professional staff. We conduct training programs on-site, on-line, or at a third-party facility.
