Worcester MA, second largest city in New England, selects ViewPermit - online GIS-centric Permit tracking The Capitol Region Council of Governments in Connecticut (CRCOG) selects ViewPermit for its Regional Online Permitting System ViewPoint has been approved by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as an ITS-43 vendor. This statewide contract enables government agencies and other public entities to utilize ViewPoint’s solutions and services in Software and System Development, GIS, Municipal Information Systems, Document Management Systems, and Database Expertise through direct negotiations. ViewPoint is the exclusive software provider to the Connecticut Regional E-Government Initiative managed by the Capitol Region Council of Governments. ViewPermit powers online permit application and tracking for member cities and towns. Any community in Connecticut can join the Permitting System by signing a Participating Agreement. ViewPermit was selected through a rigorous RFP process (involving IT directors, building officials, and administrators), which exceeds most CT municipal procurement requirements.
