For over 120 years, Ward Lumber has been committed to providing customers with quality products, outstanding customer service and value. With ongoing support of our customers, we aspire to continue serving the North Country for generations to come.

In 1890, Harvey M. Ward entered the forest products industry in the AuSable Valley of the Adirondack Mountains. He worked with portable and water powered mills to custom saw the logs brought in from the wood lots of farmers and landowners in the region. These logs were processed into the lumber they needed for building. His sons Amos, Ralph, Harry, Sidney and Harvey later ran the business as "Ward Brothers." One of the sawmills they operated stood just a few feet from Ward Lumber's Jay Store. Sidney J.

RJ, Pro Account Representative is committed to providing excellent service to our customers every day. RJ started at Ward Lumber in 1996 at our sales counter. Since then, he has held several positions, including hardlines supervisor and assistant store manager in Jay.
