41 City Hall Place Battle of Plattsburgh Association is dedicated to developing and operating the Battle of Plattsburgh Interpretive Center and War of 1812 Museum. In this effort we will collect, preserve and maintain appropriate artifacts and undertake a national education effort to publicize the significance of the Battle of Plattsburgh in the War of 1812 and our nation’s history. The Allan S. Everest Interpretive Center is located at 31 Washington Road on the Museum Campus. The exhibits chronologically recount the events of the battles at Plattsburgh within the context of the War of 1812: the political and economical causes of the war; the land and naval engagements at Plattsburgh; and the significant role that the battles here played in the final peace negotiations.
