He has over 30 years of experience in auditing, tax, financial planning and investment advising. He began his career in 1977 at a regional CPA firm in Pennsylvania, and later became the corporate controller of a regional furniture chain. Also, Tom established and successfully managed two firms in Doylestown, Pennsylvania: a CPA firm, which he owned from 1981 - 1995, and an investment advisory firm, which he owned from 1991 - 1995.

A member of CIS’s Administrative staff, Linda primarily provides support to our CEO, Chief Comliance Officer and Marketing Director. Linda also works with our financial advisors and clients helping manage client communications, client relations and new business services. She also assists with compliance functions and office technology, handles bookkeeping, marketing, office equipment and supplies, administrative duties and scheduling. Linda has over 20 years of support experience in various areas of business and law.

Indexes, available as mutual funds and ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds), are the primary vehicles used. Additional (Satellite) positions are also made to provide clients with exposure to actively managed strategies where we believe a money manager of a mutual fund or a Separately Managed Account (SMA) has demonstrated potential to outperform over time his or her relevant benchmark index. Where appropriate, CIS may also use structured investment products to help achieve a client’s risk/return objectives.

Of course deferring taxes is not the same thing as eliminating taxes, so the tax liability would be realized at a future date, either by our client or their beneficiaries. By working with you, their tax advisor, we can manage the future tax liability, only realizing income when it is beneficial to do so. Since we would rarely, unless there was a very specific reason for doing so, recommend that a client put all of their after-tax assets in this product, there will always be different ‘tax buckets’ from which we can take withdrawals in order to create the best outcome.

A member of CIS’s Administrative staff, Patricia supports our sales efforts and manages our corporate calendars. She also provides administrative and secretarial support to our Management team and their staff, assisting with scheduling, supplies and office equipment, and much more. Patricia has over 20 years of experience in customer service and as an office manager.
