Description

In 1989 Foster Family Service began certifying foster families to care for foster children in need of a home in El Dorado County. Since our inception we have placed thousands of children in safe, nurturing homes and have expanded to serve over 20 Central Counties throughout California. We pride ourselves on having the most highly-qualified team of staff and families, dedicated to meeting the needs of these special children. We offer monthly parenting training at no cost to the community. Most importantly, we are seeking loving families interested in opening their homes to foster childre; with more than 83,000 children needing foster care throughout CA the need has never been greater--particularly for children over the age of eight as well as sibling sets. Some of these children become available for adoption, for which we proudly facilitate the adoption process. Alameda, Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Contra Costa, El Dorado, Glenn, Humboldt, Inyo, Mendocino, Mono, Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Sonoma, Solano and Yolo.
