Description

Founder Michele Wynne has been in the electric power industry since 1971. She started at Southern California Edison as an engineer in their Environmental Planning department responsible for insuring the company met environmental regulations associated with new asset development. Before starting GSI, Michele worked for Utility Operation Consultants on international independent power and restructuring projects. MZA Utility Consultants, the precursor to GSI, was active in gas-fuelled power plant development, DSM programs and competitive retail services. GSI Projects included: -Business Requirements Review and Implementation - Business Requirements Document for front and back office used as a basis for an RFP on a new ETRMS. -Demand Management. Designed, marketed and proposed protocols and technical interfaces for market based demand programs for two clients that were both successful for the grid operator and profitable for the clients. -Generation Project Assessment – Transmission assessments and interconnection studies for new conventional and renewable generation projects. Brokered several generation projects that were successfully completed. -Power Procurement - Power procurement policy development for competitive retail supplier. Profitably brokered several blocks of excess energy. -Renewable Energy Development – Proposal on a manure to electricity facility. Study to determine ROI for commercial solar installation. Study of Carbon and Renewable Energy Credits of electricity projects from tires.
