This work setting affords staff the opportunity to have immediate and extensive on-hands guidance and instruction with Senior-Level Engineers. Metz Engineers provides opportunities in the areas that follow. Professional – Design Engineers that are either experienced with, or wish to focus on Municipal Engineering Services including: project review for new land development; ordinance textual research and creation; storm water management; parks, trails, street, roadway and sewer extension design; interface with developers and their engineers on behalf of the municipality; liaison with clients including public works, planning commissions, park boards, administration and elected officials. Construction & Field Support Services – For those engineers, surveyors and construction specialists who seek a vigorous outdoor environment in which to have a ‘dirty boots ’ experience. Will interface with developers, contractors, public works and governmental agencies on behalf of Metz Engineers and the client, which contributes to the smooth implementation of design intent for public and private infrastructure improvements. Technical – Individuals in these positions provide comprehensive design, graphic, mapping and analytical skills for the compilation and preparation of title and topographical Surveys, Geographic Information Systems, and hydrological and hydraulic studies utilizing state of the art AutoCAD & ESRI Software with High Accuracy GPS Survey Data Collection Systems. Administration – Administrative/office skill specialists with a high-level of numerical acumen, accuracy, business systems comprehension and interpersonal skills. The size of our firm requires individuals who are flexible, like diversity of duties and responsibilities, and the challenge of balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
