We have consistently been active in alternatives to litigation as well, including the “new way of doing business” on Colorado’s western slope, where numerous parties have agreed to a cooperative approach regarding future transmountain water projects.

White & Jankowski’s lawyers have experience with water rights in numerous western states. We have resolved many types of disputes involving every major river basin in Colorado and also assisted clients in water matters in Idaho, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Utah. We represent clients with a wide range of objectives spanning from obtaining water rights for single-family dwellings to developing major water projects, involving dozens of parties, significant legal and factual disputes, major infrastructure, and complex surface and groundwater interactions.

Our attorneys have experience in water-related aspects of oil and gas development, including both fracking and coal bed methane produced water. We also represent clients in Section 404 Clean Water Act permitting and wetlands issues, the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Wild and Scenic River designation and other environmental law issues.

Over three decades of practice, the firm has added a new generation of attorneys who continue to specialize in water rights and natural resources law. We are well versed in the intricacies of modern litigation, including electronic discovery, database management and trial presentation technology. We also stay current on our clients’ developments and technology, including advanced water diversion and treatment systems, modeling, and remote monitoring and operations.
